  Essay: 谢振礼

It could be argued that job security is more important than job satisfaction. Usually not until people are employed will they seek job satisfaction. This essay will explain the importance of being employed and, after that, what factors contribute to job satisfaction.

Job satisfaction is an essential element of individual wellbeing, however, how realistic is the expectation of job satisfaction for all employees? Hard realities such as high jobless rates mean that many people have little choice in the kind of job they can get to their satisfaction. Job security is the probability that an individual will keep their job and will have a small chance of becoming unemployed, regardless of whether that individual is satisfied in the workplace. So, it seems far from being realistic without seriously taking job security into consideration in the first place. As most people spend a major part of their adult life at work to make a living, the cruelty of being out of work is painful to people who cannot find a job, let alone job satisfaction. That is to say, job security weighs more than job satisfaction, if only for economic reasons. The expectation of job satisfaction for all workers therefore depends on whether people can choose a job so that they are able to make ends meet before asking for job satisfaction.

Keeping employees satisfied takes more than good pay and benefits, and there are several main factors that contribute to workplace satisfaction. Firstly, employees rate respectful treatment of all employees as the most important factor in job satisfaction. Secondly, employees indicate that trust between themselves and senior management is another highly important satisfaction factor. Thirdly, workplaces that are free from stress, morale issues, harassment and discriminatory practices can create a positive and healthy environment for everyone. Fourthly, offering flexibility is a great way to keep employees satisfied because smart people work best when they can choose their own schedule. Fifthly, people feel more satisfied when they feel they are achieving something and are part of something in the big picture. Accordingly, it is necessary for human resources professionals to know more about the factors that can increase employee satisfaction, and how it fits into an organization’s overall success.

In conclusion, first thing first, people must be employed, then they may expect job satisfaction. There are key factors leading to job satisfaction, the most important being a handsome paycheck. It is pointless to speak of job satisfaction when people are jobless. (Email: ielts360toefl@hotmail.com 评改作文20篇RMB1200 送120篇谢振礼原创范文。单独购买120篇文章RMB60。微信转账 fangsong1016)
