By taking part in the university ‘s autumn semester Welcome Program, you will be introduced to different aspects of being a student through practical information and entertaining lectures. The program is also an excellent opportunity for you to meet other students, and you can meet many faculty staff members. There are sessions throughout orientation days for all new students who can get tips and ask questions.
There will be activities designed for new-comers like you. These activities include presentations, tours of the institutes and other university facilities. As well, small-group counseling sessions with older students in your field will be provided. Regarding your academic subjects, there will be introductory lectures preparing for a good start at university. In addition, to get tips from senior students in your field, almost every department has its own association of volunteers committed to helping other students in specific fields. Many offer insider information to help new students successfully navigate the unknown academic territory. Although attendance is not obligatory and pre-registration is not required, you are highly encouraged to take the advantage of the varied orientation programs. Therefore, you must not miss the entire Welcome Program designed for you.
