麻雀听后紧闭眼睛，一动不动，和尚以为它死了，把手一张，麻雀便飞走了。
鹞子追赶麻雀，麻雀乱飞乱窜，一下飞进了和尚的衣袖里。和尚抓住麻雀说道：“阿弥陀佛，我今天有肉吃了。”
麻雀听后紧闭眼睛，一动不动，和尚以为它死了，把手一张，麻雀便飞走了。
和尚说道：“阿弥陀佛，我把你放生了吧。”
