Wow, this is my favorite 華音流韶 book so far!! It’s told like a murder mystery, with all the wonderful tension, spooks, horrors, and the endless questions in the reader’s mind.
I also loved how 楊逸之 had much more screen time than in 彼岸天都, but not too much screen time (like in 風月連城). So it was just enough to keep me hungering to see him again and again. As well, 楊逸之 has become my (platonic) character crush, yay! He is so fascinating, with such a beautiful and interesting personality.
Despite how annoying she was, I actually kind of liked 唐岫兒, for some"rest":" reason. I don’t like 步小鸞 that much, though. It was as if she were replacing 相思…<br /><br />星漣 was pretty fascinating. I liked her a lot more than creepy 日曜.<br /><br />There seemed to be even fewer of those overly descriptive passages in this book compared to 彼岸 and definitely 風月連城, which was a relief.<br /><br />In spite of the murders and mystery, I thought this book was rather lighthearted relative to the previous two books (especially 風月), mostly because of 唐岫兒’s lively (and bratty) personality. I do generally prefer more lighthearted and amusing stories nowadays—probably because I spent too much time reading dark and depressing stories in my teens.<br /><br />Anyhow, my concluding line is: So in love with 楊逸之 now and can’t wait to see more answers to his past!"
